This is a good all-around slate cutter. It will make cutting standard thickness slate (3/16" to 1/4") an easy job - much faster and more accurate than a hammer and stake (for thicker slates use a Stortz Slate Hammer and a slater's stake).

 

Heavy duty hole punch on handle. Cutting blade never wears out. Can cut both convex and concave curves to match "scalloped" and "fish scale" slate designs, as well as straight cuts. This tool will last a lifetime.

 

Also cuts and punches asbestos tiles (not suitable for ceramic tiles). Can be easily carried and used on the roof. Bottom bar tucks into tool belt to allow for cutting while standing, or while sitting on a hook ladder.
